  2. Having played with "LIFE" a bit, we decided that it would be useful to
  3. have a load and save screens facility and also a catalogue.
  4.  
  5. OLD_LIFE in the '$' directory is the original program as per the
  6. magazine while the 'LIFE' directory contains the modified program.

  8. Double click on the menu button if you want to save the current screen
  9. to disc and double click on the adjust button to re-load an existing
  10. screen.

  12. On either load or save, if you enter a null filename - i.e. just press
  13. <return>, you get a catalogue of the screens available.

  15. We tried some of the patterns given in the article and found that the
  16. 'Tumbler', as printed, is not an oscillator - any ideas?
